Airbnb regrets rejection of bill that sought to regulate short-term rentals

In June, the Senate voted down House Bill 1557, which sought to regulate short-term rentals. Rep. José Rivera Madera drafted the bill in response to the recent community concerns over the lack of regulation of short-term rentals. The bill had undergone several amendments since its initial drafting, which changed its initial objective.
